Born on the banks of Lake Windermere, I spent my formative years in the Warickshire and Worcestershire countryside where my love of conservation and wildlife was nurtured. Graduating in the early 70's with a bunch of qualifications and certificates I tried my hand at many different types of photography, from news and editorial work to weddings and portraits. In 1981 I applied for and was successfully appointed as a photographer at the then British Museum (Natural History), now The Natural History Museum, in London, where I worked my way to becoming a Senior Scientific Photographer, I am still employed by this notable organisation and have photographed many of the specimens held there. In the late 80's I was made an Associate of the British Institute of Professional Photography (ABIPP) for my scientific work. I am represented by the NHMPL |
